The CTA President and Vice-President are automatic Delegates to the NEA Representative Assembly by virtue of election to the office of CTA President and Vice-President. The top three (3) Candidates with highest votes will be designated as State Delegates who will receive $700 provided by FEA and up to $800 in reimbursement from CTA if meeting requirements are met and receipts are turned in. The next (7) Candidates will be designated as Local Delegates and will receive up to $1500 in reimbursement from CTA if convention meeting requirements are met and receipts are turned in. Any remaining candidates(s) elected as delegates may attend at their own expense. In the event that candidates are elected by acclimation, State Delegates and Local Delegates will be determined by drawing lots. If for any reason the Assembly is held on a virtual platform, no stipends or reimbursements will be issued. Any member in good standing in accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws may run for Delegate(s) and may nominate themselves. Delegates to meetings, conventions, and assemblies of affiliate organizations shall be elected annually and must be members in good standing of CTA for at least two (2) years prior to being elected.

The CTA President and Vice-President are automatic Delegates to the FEA Delegate Assembly by virtue of election to the office of CTA President and Vice-President. All FEA Delegates attending the Delegate Assembly may request reimbursement for up to $100 for receipted meals, for the entire convention, in addition to reimbursement for mileage at the IRS rate, and parking (excluding valet parking). No lodging expenses will be reimbursed to FEA Delegates. One CTA Association Day will be provided to the top 20 Candidates with the highest votes, if necessary, and upon timely request. In the event that candidates are elected by acclimation, association days will be determined by drawing lots. If for any reason the Assembly is held on a virtual platform, no stipends or reimbursements will be issued. Any member in good standing in accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws may run for Delegate(s) and may nominate themselves. The top nine (9) candidates with the highest votes will be AFT Delegates who will receive up to $1500 in reimbursement from CTA if convention meeting requirements are met and receipts are turned in. In the event that candidates are elected by acclimation, Delegates will be determined by drawing lots. Any remaining Candidate(s) elected as delegates may attend at their own expense. If for any reason the Assembly is held on a virtual platform, no stipends or reimbursements will be issued. Any member in good standing in accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws may run for Delegate(s) and may nominate Delegates to meetings, conventions, and assemblies of affiliate organizations shall be elected annually and must be members in good standing of CTA for at least two (2) years prior to being elected themselves.
