The Bargaining Survey closed today and the Bargaining Team will use this information to prioritize this next round of negotiations. We have also formed a 40+ member Bargaining Committee which consists of classroom teachers at all grade levels as well as representatives from various non classroom positions. We are committed to ensuring your voice is heard in this process.
During the Bargaining meeting today both parties expressed a desire to expedite the process this year to avoid the lengthy delays of last year. We also agreed to improve efficiency by responding promptly to document requests and ongoing conversations that can help facilitate future sessions. The goal is to have all language and budget proposals finalized by the end of May. Tentative dates for bargaining sessions will be confirmed by Wednesday.
